The Human Rights and Foreign Relations Division
The Human Rights and Foreign Relations Division is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Ministry of Justice's foreign relations, including with ministries of justice throughout the world, as well as international bodies and organizations, such as the Red Cross, and international human rights organizations. The Division also handles relations with Christian sects and churches in Israel, as well as with the Bahai Faith. Furthermore, the Division is responsible for responding to queries regarding human rights issues, sent by international organizations and private individuals abroad.
In its capacity as coordinator of relations with ministries of justice throughout the world, the Division serves a number of functions, including:

Maintaining contacts with foreign ministries of justice;

Organizing official visits abroad for Israel's Minister of Justice and delegations from the Ministry of Justice;

Organizing official visits of foreign ministers of justice, delegations from foreign ministries of justice and other distinguished guests to the Minister of Justice.
In its capacity as coordinator of relations with international organizations and other international bodies, the Division serves a number of functions, including:

Maintaining contacts with international organizations such as the International Red Cross Society, and other international bodies;

Formulating reports to be submitted by Israel to the United Nations human rights committees on the implementation of human rights treaties,

Maintaining ongoing contacts with international non-governmental organizations,

Overseeing, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the inter-ministerial coordination of responses to queries regarding human rights issues. Such queries are submitted by non-governmental organizations, as well as by private individuals,

Producing certain English-language translations of Israel's laws.
